Three things detachment with love is not:

Isolation from others

Dismissive of another’s plight

Distancing from Divinity

When I dance my own dance, I am not isolating myself from others; I am dancing with them on the grand ballroom floor of life.

I am not ignorant of others’ faltering steps; I use my dance to strengthen theirs.

I am not distancing myself from Divinity by dancing alone; I am embracing The Divine Other as my partner.

Dance, dance

Wherever you may be

For I am the Lady of the Dance

Said She

And I danced with Her

Across the Great Divide

And I held Her in my arms

Although I was not at Her side
